1983 Centurion Pro Tour 15
I replaced the Suntour AR stem that came on the bike with a longer Nitto stem which is still a little bit short for me.
I am looking for a longer Japanese stem. I installed new cloth bar tape and Cane Creek hoods. I'm not totally happy with the tape.
I like the way it looks, but I want something that is softer. I also installed Panaracer Pasela tires.
I'm very happy with the tires.
The original Suntour derailleur had already been replaced with a Deore XT derailleur when I got the bike
The derailleur works great; no need to change it. I also installed longer toe clips.
I installed an extra reflector on the seat post which straps on easily.
The number 3 in the serial number represents 1983.
The original bottom bracket spindle was pitted. I did not find the appropriate spindle,
but I did have a titanium White Industries bottom bracket in the correct size.
